Local Elections 2023 - G&I Policy Platform Announced

Witham and Braintree Green Party Councillors and candidates, along with our Independent Councillor and candidate colleagues in the Green and Independent (G&I) Group, have today released our policy platform for the 2023 Braintree District Council and Town Council Local Elections.

 

 

This Policy Platform builds on the G&I Cooperation Agreement and proposes new ways in which we think the district should be run, based on 5 key policy areas:

1. Better Representation for all local communities in the district
2. A green and community focus on Planning and Transport
3. An Economy that levels up between rural and town
4. Stronger protection for our shared Environment
5. Improved Services for local communities

We believe that the current Conservative administration at BDC has become too centralised and reliant on a small group of councillors who make most of the big decisions and do not listen enough.
