John Malam will be the Green Party candidate for the Bocking County Council by-election
John Malam is married, with 4 children and 2 grand children. He has lived in Braintree for 16 years and teaches music.
He has previously stood for the Greens in local government elections.
John’s key messages for this election:
To play a greater role in his local community with particular interests in education and the NHS
Boosting the Green group on Essex County Council to achieve further democratic reforms
Protecting and improving local services, including social care
Defending vital greenspaces from being concreted over
Better transport - more capacity on the Braintree branch line, investing in cycling and walking and urgent safety improvements to local roads and the A120
Investing in the green economy - more recycling, renewable energy and local manufacturing jobs
