Visualisation from Woodhouse
These two images show the dramatic impact of the waste plant and chimneys as seen from the nearby listed buildings and footpath at Woodhouse Farm. At first, the developers tried to claim that the waste site would not be visible at all from the farm. Later they changed this to stating that just 2 metres of the top of the incinerator stack would be visible. Our images show that the impact willl be much more dramatic, with the 35 metre high, 7 metre wide main chimney a dominant imposition on the rural outlook - and that size of chimney is probably a minimum.
This area is a documented habitat for many protected and listed species, including bats, owls and birds of prey - which will lose much of their habitat and then be disturbed by one of the largest waste sites in Europe operating 24/7.
